Conference Tracks

Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision
The future of Computer Vision is artificial intelligence. Computer vision in specifically machine learning is widely used in AI. When working with pictures, computer vision can also be used to identify intricate patterns to train the model on. The two fields are almost interconnected and depend on each other for support.

Industrial IoT & Edge Computing
Edge computing allows data produced by the internet of things (IoT) devices to be processed closer to where it is created instead of sending it across long routes to data centers or clouds. Doing this computing closer to the edge of the network lets organizations analyze important data in near real-time – a need of organizations across many industries.

Women Leaders In Tech
In this session we will bring in diverse women tech leaders in Washington state to share their inputs and insights about technology development and trends. The session will cover women in technologies, women in leadership and women in professional development, as well as establish initiative on how to support and encourage female talents to pursue careers in technology.

AI In Speech Recognition
While companies like Google are confidently pronouncing that we live in an ” AI-first age ” with machine learning breaking new ground in area like speech recognition, Conversational User Interfaces (CUI) are at the heart of the current wave of AI development. There have been many interesting advancements in speech recognition from the symbolic or statistical learning approaches.

Future of Robotics
Robots are rapidly transforming the way we live and work and will have an even more revolutionary impact in the years ahead. Existing AI and robotics components can provide physical platforms, perception, motor control, navigation, mapping, tactical decision-making and long-term planning. The technology already demonstrated for self-driving cars, together with the human-like tactical control could support urban search-and-destroy missions.

Blockchain Technology
A blockchain, originally block chain, is a continuously growing list of records, called blocks, which are linked and secured using cryptography. Each block typically contains a cryptographic hash of the previous block, a timestamp and transaction data. By design, a blockchain is inherently resistant to modification of the data. Blockchain, in effect, hard-wires trust into transactions or data that we might otherwise be more cautious about.

Self-Driving Cars
Self-driving vehicles are cars or trucks in which human drivers are never required to take control to safely operate the vehicle. Also, known as autonomous or “driver-less” cars, they combine sensors and software to control, navigate, and drive the vehicle. Major automakers and tech companies — including Google, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and reportedly Apple — are all currently working on the autonomous driving technology.

U.S vs China’s Education System
China’s education market is vast and set for further expansion in upcoming years as Chinese families prepare their children to compete in an economy incredibly different from the one they grew up in. Already worth RMB 1.6 trillion (US$240 billion) in 2015, China’s education market is projected to nearly double to RMB 3 trillion (US$450 billion) by 2020. Education is the number one priority for parents desperate to help their Children get ahead in competitive, modern China.

Cross-Border M&A
The world’s economy is more interconnected than ever. In both China and the US, the prosperity of the technology startup industry vitally hinges upon the free-flowing of top talent and more capital across the Pacific. A skillful investor needs to comprehend the intricacies of the distinctive law and regulatory provisions in these two countries in order to navigate the complicated landscape of foreign investment.

Washington Real Estate Market
According to a new forecast, the real estate market in Washington State is “set to explode” in 2018. Figuratively speaking, of course. They’re talking about explosive growth in demand and prices. Among other things, the analysts predicted that home prices in U.S. markets will continue to follow an overall upward trend over the next 12 months, with overall annual forecast appreciation of +4.2%.
